Maralong Milling is committed to ensuring consistently safe, high quality foods for all of our Domestic and International customers. To ensure this, the company has implemented the following systems:-

SQF Food Safety Code

Maralong Milling is HACCP and ISO22000:2018 accredited with Global Certification. Global Certification audits our sites annually to ensure we meet HACCP requirements. This demonstrates that our company has implemented and complied to a system of food safety hazard controls based on the principles outlined in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) System and Guidelines for its Application, issued by the Codex Aliment Arius Commission. HACCP ensures that our company is supplying a high quality, food safe product to our customers.

GMP

Maralong Milling’s Good Hygiene and Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies have been developed to ensure that product is appropriately handled within the production environment. GMP enables our company to minimise or eliminate instances of contamination and manufacturing errors The process controls implemented at Maralong Milling ensure our consumers receive a high quality, safe and nutritious product. Process controls start from the intake of raw material, through the manufacturing process to dispatch of the finished product. These practices ensure our products meet our standards and consumer confidence in the company remains high.

REGISTERED ESTABLISHMENT (2159)

Maralong Milling is a registered establishment with the Department of Agriculture, Water & Environment (formally AQIS/Quarantine) to export grain, seed and processed plant products. Maralong Milling’s premises are constructed, equipped and operate in an effective and hygienic manner. Our sites are audited by the department to ensure we are complying with all Government standards. Maralong Milling has a number of employees who have completed the Authorised Officer (AO) training in order to complete on site inspections.

HALAL CERTIFICATION

Maralong Milling is HALAL accreditated with the Islamic Co-Ordinating Council of Victoria (ICCV). All of our products comply to HALAL standards and requirements. ICCV perform an annual audit of our operation and facilities to ensure Maralong Milling continues to be HALAL compliant.

FOOD BUSINESS LICENCE

Maralong Milling is an accredited Level 3, Food Manufacturer in accordance with the Australian Food Act 2006 and holds a current Food Business Licence with the Toowoomba Regional Council. An annual audit is conducted to ensure we remain compliant with these standards for operation.
